Short-term practice permit for foreign physicians in China

Acceptance time:

Morning on weekdays: 9:00 to 12:00

Afternoon on weekdays: 13:30 to 17:00 (14:30-17:00 in summer)

Processing location:
No 79 Hongxing Road, Hedong district, Window No 01-16, Hall A, 1st Floor, Tianjin Municipal Government Affairs Service Center
Application conditions:
a) Foreign physicians with legal medical practice rights obtained abroad;
b) Entry visas legally obtained in advance and residence or stay procedures completed according to relevant regulations after entry.

Application materials:
1. Foreign medical practicing license or certificate of medical practice rights and its notarized documents
Foreign medical licenses or certificates of medical practice rights are issued by relevant institutions according to the laws of the country of origin; notarized documents can be obtained from the Chinese embassy or consulate in that country. All foreign language documents should be accompanied by Chinese translations. Original documents should be presented for verification, and one copy should be submitted.
2. Application Form for Short-Term Practice Registration of Foreign Physicians in China
To be filled out by the applicant. The application form can be obtained on-site at the Tianjin Municipal Government Affairs Service Center or downloaded from the Tianjin Online Government Service Hall (https://zwfw.tj.gov.cn). (See the appendix for the form and examples)
3. Health Certificate for Foreign Physicians' Physical Examination in China
Obtained after a physical examination at a medical institution. If the document is in a foreign language, a Chinese translation should be attached.
