Organized by the local government, a delegation of nearly 100 representatives from over 20 key enterprises, including FiberHome, Cetc Potevio, YOFC, and Silicognition, departed Wuhan on March 1 for a six-day economic and trade visit to Europe.
The delegation comprises companies specializing in cutting-edge fields such as optical communications, chips, intelligent hardware, and cybersecurity, marking the first "going global" group mission organized by Wuhan this year.
During the six-day trip, the delegation will visit Barcelona, Manchester, and London. In addition to participating in the Mobile World Congress, they will attend events such as the Greater Manchester Green Summit 2026 and the Data Centre World 2026. A Wuhan-Spain Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference will also be held to strengthen economic and trade ties with European countries.
In 2025, Wuhan successfully organized 10 delegations to help nearly 800 enterprises participate in overseas exhibitions and business events, reaching intended cooperation amounting to approximately 1 billion U.S. dollars. In 2026, Wuhan will continue to focus on its advantageous industries such as optoelectronics and automobiles, planning to organize 10 business delegations to help over 600 enterprises explore international markets.
